Hiroki Utsumi receives a call from Takeshi stating his uneasiness and fear of passing on at an early age since all of the male relatives have also died at a young age 50 and earlier. He is so adamant that he will die at a young age that he has extensively researched his family tree. This fear causes much tension between Miyuki Fujioka (Takeshi's wife) because they have recently had a baby girl named Nozomi Fujioka. It is also revealed that he owns Hector who is said to be a cursed dog, he also owns a cursed painting that he secretly has brought to the house in his personal office. Sakurako Kujō dispels his fear, by revealing that the painting he has is made with arsenic and that in the dark room closed off to air has caused him to get arsenic poisoning evident by the white lines on his fingernails and persistent cough. It is also revealed that an unknown painter was none other than Hanabusa who tells him to bring his child in front of the painting as green is a nurturing, but is revealed that babies cannot recognize cool colors. Hanabusa also has been in touch with him which causes him to also come up with a plan to commit suicide by making it look like a suicide, and inviting Hiroki Utsumi to be present be causing of adding credibility. Hiromi in the end carries him to the ambulance since Hanabusa illegally parked a car so that they would have to take longer then normal, to ensure the plan works.
